1. Saving Santa (2013)

In this children’s movie, Bernard the elf ends up stopping a terrible thing that happened to Santa – he was kidnapped!

Bernard is the only one who can save Santa and with Santa’s own sleigh and his TimeGlobe (that’s what Santa uses to deliver presents to all the children in the world in only one night) he travels back in time to save Santa.

Check out the trailer and find it on Netflix here.

2. Miracle on 34th Street (1994 remake)

For most of us, we grew up watching this classic 1947 black-and-white holiday movie every year. And with the 1994 remake, your children can now watch it as they grow up.

The premise of the movie is simple: someone is claiming to be the real Santa Claus and a lawyer – and a little girl – must prove that it’s true.

Watch the trailer or catch it on Netflix!

3. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

Who can forget this new classic movie? Starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, the Kranks decide to skip Christmas altogether, only to have their daughter unexpectedly come home to celebrate Christmas.

With a lot of slapstick humor, this movie is great for older kids too.

Check out the trailer or movie at Netflix.

4. White Christmas (1954)

Another holiday classic, White Christmas stars Bing Crosby as a successful singer and dancer. He’s a part of a team and ends being smitten with a woman in a sister act. Together, they save the Vermont Inn from closing down due to too little snow and not enough guests.

With lots of singing, dancing, and a bit of tomfoolery, White Christmas is the perfect movie for the parents and grandparents.

Check out the trailer or find it on Netflix.

5. Love Actually (2003)

Love Actually, starring Hugh Grant, is the perfect movie to start the holiday season of movie watching.

Follow eight different couples dealing with love at all different stages leading up to the Christmas holidays. Set as a romantic comedy, it’s a great movie to watch with your partner to get in the spirit of Christmas.

Check out the trailer or watch it on Netflix.

6. 12 Dates of Christmas (2011)

Groundhog day in December? Yup. For Kate, played by Amy Stewart, this is exactly what happens to her after a horrible blind date on Christmas Eve. She keeps re-living it!

This is another romantic comedy that’s perfect on a cold winter’s night with the fire roaring.

Watch the trailer or see it on Netflix.

7. Frosty the Snowman (1969)

Who can beat this iconic classic movie? Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman are symbols of the holiday season for children and grown-ups alike.

If you have little ones, this is the perfect movie to get them excited about presents and having fun in the snow!

Great List! They have a few good ones on amazon prime right now as well like some of the old cartoon christmas classics and stop motion animation movies like Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July.

There’s also a handful of weird ones like Silent Night Deadly Night lol.
