Last week at Tekoia was definitely a very exciting week

Due to the feedback we received, and popularity of our #TrashTheRemote campaign which aimed to create awareness and reduce batteries in landfills, we decided to extend the campaign for an additional week. It will now end on 13th September, 2015, plus we also released a new version of the SURE Universal Remote app. Within hours of the release we saw how much our customers are loving this new version.

Users are finding our app easy to use, and that it works like a charm on their appliances and devices and can even be used as a good ol’ prank on your family.

So, why did we “mess” with a good thing? Well, because we continue to listen to our users and give them what they want.

So, let’s look at four new updates for the SURE Universal remote.

1. Updated Version

Last week we unleashed a new version of the SURE Universal app. The first thing you might notice is an updated interface.

We went with a new color scheme and a slightly updated design to make it more user friendly and also give our app a more modern feel.

Along with unveiling our new version, we added a slew of new features, which we will talk about next.

2. Added Thousands of New Brands and Devices

One thing’s for sure, people want to be assured when they download our app, it works on their specific Smart TV or their particular media streamer.

And we also want to be sure we have your brand and device in our database.

That’s why we’ve added thousands of new brands and devices into our IR appliance database. We always review our customers’ suggestions and in response we added highly requested devices and brands to our database.

We’ve also updated some popular video tutorials to help our customers with common questions such as how to delete and rename a device.

We are currently working on adding more support videos to help our customers with other common questions.

3. We Added Air Conditioner Support

A big feature many users were anticipating was the addition of AC support.

With a lot of planning, designing and programming from our tech crew, we have finally added this new function and people love it.

One thing to note is if you don’t see your AC brand in our IR list of appliances, this doesn’t necessarily mean the SURE Universal app won’t work for your air conditioner.

We may have a remote for your air conditioner. To find out if the SURE Universal app supports your AC, simply run a Complete Scan test.

4. We Now Support 13 Languages

We’ve noticed we have users from all around the globe. From the States to China, people everywhere are using and loving our SURE Universal app.
