Materials created with xTex are stored in an open texture format that can be used with basically every 3D software on the market.
For V-Stitcher and Lotta there is now an import function available to fill the texture slots automatically.
The Scanner
With xTex material capturing is as easy as with a flatbed scanner.
However, you obtain a lot more information about the material, such as correct color, reflectivity (specular map), surface orientation (normal map) and transparency.
A scan typically takes less than 2 minutes and the output is up to 1200 dpi in resolution.
The User Interface
Our software offers the most intuitive and effective tools to make textures seamless. You can use automatic tiling features and even create synthetic materials from the scan data. And the tiling preview window helps you to check the quality down to the smallest detail – in real-time.
