Step-by-Step Instructions to Test the IR Blaster on Your Smartphone

Here’s how you can use a smartphone camera to check to see if your IR Blaster is working.

On one smartphone, open the camera app.

Then, point your IR Blaster at the camera lens, and press a button – any button – on your remote.

If your IR Blaster is working properly, you’ll see a cool flickering light coming from the remote’s IR blaster whenever you press a button.

Now, if you don’t see a flickering light, it probably means there is an issue that you should report to our Support Team to help you with.
