FAQ

A. SURE runs on most smartphones and tablets with an IR Blaster, including the following popular models:

Samsung

  • Galaxy S4 and S4 mini
  • Galaxy Mega
  • Galaxy Note 3
  • Galaxy Note 4
  • Galaxy S5
  • Galaxy Tablet (which have an IR blaster)
  • Galaxy S6 (except S6 Edge Plus which doesn’t have an IR blaster)

HTC

  • One (M7)
  • One (M8)
  • One (M9)

LG

  • LG G3 and G4 (except G3 S, G3 Vigor, G3 Beat which have older version of IR software)

Xiaomi

  • Xiaomi Mi4

Apple

  • iPhone (iOS 9.0 or later)
  • iPad
  • iPod touch

Q. Why can’t I download SURE Universal Remote?

A. Your smartphone or tablet may be missing an IR Blaster, which our app needs at the moment to function. We do support some BroadLink WiFi to IR converters, which you can buy at Amazon and then will have full functionality. Learn more here.

Q. Why doesn’t my TV turn on?

A. Each TV has multiple models. During the setup you must run each test by testing the on/off button. Once the TV turns on click “Accept”. Full instructions are here.

Q. Why can’t I change the channels on my TV?

A. After you have added your TV to the SURE Universal Remote, you must then add your Set-Top or Cable Box. Once you have done this you will be able to change channels. You can also add multiple devices to the same “System” in order to turn them on and off together. Find instructions here.

Q. Do I need internet to use SURE Universal Remote?

A. You only need to be connected to the internet to access all of the available remotes on our cloud when you are adding a new device or when you are using a smart (WiFi) remote. After that you will no longer need WiFi to access the IR remote.
