First Easy-to-Use Smart Universal Remote App with Infrared to Control Smart and Legacy Appliances
First mobile app that lets users easily control complex multimedia systems including multiple appliances with just one click
SureMote is a FREE Universal Remote Control App for all of your digital media appliances and systems. SureMote uses the built-in Infrared (IR) Blaster in Samsung Galaxy and HTC One Smartphone’s. SureMote cures the headache of dealing with multiple old-fashioned hardware remotes.
With SureMote, you have one free, simple, intuitive universal remote that uses IR Blaster and runs on Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note and HTC One smartphones. SureMote has an extensive database of IR appliances and smart TVs such as Samsung TV, LG TV, Sony TV, Apple TV, Western Digital Streamer and many others. It allows easy creation of appliance systems that enable you to control a group of appliances with a single click.
A typical family has four old remotes which are hard to use, non-standard and only control a limited number of devices each. Considering that remote controls were first introduced by Nikola Tesla in 1898, these devices have not made much progress in more than a century. Developing a universal remote app that is easy to use, hard to lose and works with WiFi and infrared has been a surprisingly hard problem.
Today, with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), the SureMote smartphone universal remote app is poised to control almost everything in your house starting with legacy IR appliances as well the new generation of WiFi-driven smart appliances. Using proprietary technology developed by Tekoia, SureMote runs on Android devices and is a platform for development of additional Smart Living functions needed for the IoT.
“With SureMote we are solving one of the biggest headaches that people experience today – having to deal with 3 or 4 different remotes just to watch a movie,” says Viktor Ariel, Tekoia CEO. “We are very pleased to release SureMote IR and to share the convenience of one truly easy, customizable remote control for media systems with our customers.”
The newest version of SureMote follows the design principle of “Do Not Make Me Think,” creating a smartphone remote app that is intuitive and consistent. It enables control of complex multimedia systems, which are groups of appliances, through a unique and proprietary hierarchical paradigm. All SureMote IR setup is performed directly on the smartphone without the need for an external computer.
