Kirk St.Amant is a Professor and Eunice C. Williamson Endowed Chair in Technical Communication and Research Faculty Member with the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science (CBERS) at Louisiana Tech University. He also serves as the Director of Tech’s Usability Studies Research Center and its Health and Medical Communication Research Center. Additionally, Kirk is an Adjunct Professor of International Health and Medical Communication with the University of Limerick in Ireland, a Guest Professor of Usability Studies with Southeast University in China, and a Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor of User Experience Design with the University of Strasbourg in France. He researches how cognition affects usability and design with a focus on international health and medical contexts and international online education.

tcworld China 2020 will be postponed due to the spread of COVID-19 - The tcworld China organizers have announced to postpone tcworld China 2020, originally scheduled to be held on 21 – 22 May in Shanghai to September 10-11.
The decision is based on the current risk evaluation of the COVID-19 epidemic by local and global authorities. According to the regular report and COVID-19 prevention notification released by the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China recently, the COVID-19 situation in China continues to be challenging and developments in the following months are very hard to foresee at this stage.
To ensure the safety of tcworld China’s participants and sponsors, the organizers decided to postpone tcworld China 2020, and in a responsible way allow all participants to make necessary arrangements in a timely manner.
