One of the neat features in the SURE Universal remote app is the ability to group multiple devices and appliances under one system.

So if you AREN’T already using this feature let’s first discuss a few reasons why you would want to group multiple devices together, and if you ARE using this feature maybe we can give you some new ideas how to use it.

1. You Can Turn Devices On  And Off With One Click

The System feature in the app allows you to operate multiple devices at the same time which means you can turn on your set top box or cable at the same time as your TV. Similarly, you can turn on your sound bar together with your TV. You can add as many devices you like to the same System.

Once you have setup a System it means you don’t have to jump around the app looking for the different devices that you normally use together. Just find the System. Point your smartphone at the devices and with one tap you will turn all the devices in the system on or off.

2. You Can Define The Main Media Source And Audio/Sound Output

Within the System settings you can predefine which is your main media source. This means that if you are using a Roku together with your TV you can select Roku as the media source and your TV as the audio output.

3. You Can Group Devices in One Room Under One System

If you have an air conditioner, TV and iRobot all in your living room, you can place these devices under one System to make it easier to find them in the app, the same for the other rooms in the house. If you use the app at work too to operate the air conditioner and the projector, you could setup another System for the office.

How To Get Started

First add all your devices to the SURE Universal app. Then on our home screen, tap on the “Systems” button and select the devices you would like to add to the System.  You can leave the default device name, however, we suggest you customize it with the name of the room.

Once you have selected all the devices just click on the check at the bottom of the page, you are ready for some action. All the devices you added will be displayed on your left navigation menu and with one quick tap of a button you can turn on or off multiple devices.

You’ll quickly find that grouping your appliances under one System is a great advantage. Since your smartphone is always with you, this means the SURE Universal is too, making it convenient and easy to use.

So now is the time to go and whip up a snack, grab a good book or find that show in Netflix you’ve been itching to watch for weeks. With your devices now in System you will be setup in seconds.
